Yewz: Based in central Arizona, Chase Marsh, otherwise going under the moniker Yewz, has quickly taken root within the electronic music community. Infusing his reverence for the raw essence of nature into his diverse production style, he crafts a distinctive sonic identity within the realm of bass music, seamlessly traversing various subgenres without constraint. Drawing from heavy-hitting dubstep and trap, experimental bass, drum and bass, and more, his inimitable sound successfully connects with a wide range of audiences.
Since the launch of the project in 2018, the blooming artist has laid the necessary seeds to grow and nurtured them since, boasting a rounded discography of distinguished releases and collaborators. Seamlessly translating his music into the live realm with engrossing performances, Yewz leaves no room to question as he aligns himself as a prominent frontrunner in the bass scene.
Featured on Electric Hawk Records with his experimental honker "Bass Bounce" and debut EP release “Stank Face”, Yewz continues to build a name for himself and gain recognition through his one of a kind “beautiful and weird” music. One release at a time, Yewz truly becomes a force to be reckoned with in the bass music scene.
Yewz is expanding his forest as he releases collaborations such as the trippy and wobbly “Pegasus” with artist Ravenscoon via LoFreq Records on their Cypher Vol. 2, as well as the Yewz single “Money” - another heavy-hitting and wonky dubstep tune which released on the Wubaholics record label along side artists like MYHTM, Tape B, blurrd vzn, and more.
Music from Yewz changes colors like leaves on a tree with releases spanning electronic music genres such as: drum and bass, hyperpop, future bass, and dubstep, as well as some experimental songs that you just can’t quite put a label on. Regardless of what’s to come next from multifaceted producer Yewz, one thing is for certain: his production twists, techniques, and style will all be apparent.
Myrtle: Born into the circus, Myrtle instantaneously understands how to capture the attention of crowds through his menacing, dynamic bass music. Hailing from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Adam Roach found himself transplanted to the west coast desert, where he picked up producing five years ago. Traversing the beach to the desert, the portfolio of sounds was created which now represents the solo endeavor, Myrtle.
Myrtle is heavily influenced by hip-hop, dubstep, and recently experimenting with liquid dnb, which takes center stage during his high-energy live performances—but the bass is the monstrous throughline and commonality that unites the wall of sound. When the half-tempo hits, Myrtle controls the crowd like the tigers of his past life. Artists like Minnesota and Jentsen paved the path before him and now Myrtle is ready to utilize his individualistic, nuanced future forward bass to drive and inspire the creation of a counter culture, which unites each rave family.
Prior to the inception of Myrtle, Adam Roach is a member of the duo Proper., which has been featured on main stages at Phoenix Lights and Gem&Jam. Playing support for artists such as Ravenscoon and Ultrasloth, Myrtle has been traveling the country cultivating a diverse and loyal following now hailing from Phoenix, Arizona.
